dead flowers

NME cover boys, 1989

The Stone Roses debut album is definitely on my list of top 5 desert island discs - and could very well be numero uno, depending on the day/mood. I'm grateful that I got to see them live at least once in my life, though a reunion tour seems very unlikely (see John Squire's 2009 artpiece above).
Like Johnny Marr, post-Smiths, The Roses' former members post-band work is meh (hello, Seahorses) considering the level of grandeur they've shown us they're capable of achieving. Long live The Roses!
